Police officer surnamed Lin, aged 28, from Sanxia Precinct was found dead on June 13 after going missing while hiking at Yuan Shan Park. Colleagues recalled his recent brave act in alerting them during a drunk man wielding a knife incident at the station, successfully diffusing the situation. Lin, a graduate of the police academy, lived with his wife in Sanxia District, New Taipei City. The precinct will provide full support to the family in handling funeral arrangements.
