Reported about 1 year ago

On the morning of July 3, at 11:50 am, a traffic accident occurred between a police patrol motorcycle and a civilian minivan at the intersection of Section 1, Jinma Road, and Bao Department Road in Changhua City. Nearby factory owners reported hearing a siren followed by a loud bang. While on patrol duty, Police officer Pan Yihong was riding a patrol motorcycle with sirens and lights activated to respond to an emergency, when he collided with a minivan driven by a civilian surnamed Yang. Fortunately, Officer Pan suffered minor injuries and was discharged from the hospital, while Mr. Yang was unharmed. The initial investigation suggests that the accident may have been caused by Mr. Yang not yielding to the police vehicle. Both parties were not suspected of drunk driving, and the exact cause and liability of the accident are being investigated by the traffic division.
