Police Storytelling Event at Nuan Nuan Parent-Child Center to Celebrate Police Day

Reported about 1 year ago

In preparation for Police Day, the Keelung City Women and Children Police Unit visited the Nuan Nuan Parent-Child Center to read parent-child storybooks with parents, teachers, and students, focusing on educating young children about body autonomy, recognizing privacy areas, and preventing crime. With the upcoming summer vacation, police officers also reminded parents about the importance of teaching children internet safety to avoid scams and privacy breaches. By using a storybook about a big hungry wolf and a village of little pigs, the police officers aimed to teach children self-protection and awareness of dangers, emphasizing the importance of respecting personal boundaries. The event concluded with children dressing up as mini police officers and playing with toy police cars, showing appreciation by gifting handmade Police Day cards and small presents to the officers as a token of gratitude for their hard work and dedication in safeguarding the community.
