Karolina Rozwód has been appointed as the new head of the Polish Film Institute, replacing the previous director Radosław Śmigulski. Rozwód was recommended by a special commission and approved by the Minister of Culture, Hanna Wróblewska. Rozwód has been involved in various film funds and projects, as well as in promoting Polish cinema internationally. This decision follows the dismissal of Śmigulski, amidst political changes in the country.
