In a modern society where people are constantly using electronic devices, office workers often develop poor postures such as forward head, rounded shoulders, and neck protrusion, leading to chronic shoulder and neck muscle injuries. The most common pain area is the upper back region, including the neck, shoulders, and shoulder blades. Physical therapist Zhao Xianting from Taipei Veterans General Hospital Taoyuan Branch suggests exercises to improve posture and increase shoulder and neck mobility to alleviate upper back pain caused by muscle tension and poor posture. These exercises include chin tucks, shoulder opening stretches, shoulder blade movements, and neck stretches. It is recommended to adjust lifestyle habits, work ergonomics, and maintain proper posture to prevent and address upper back pain issues.
