As the solar term Xiaoman started in May, the sales of ice drinks, fresh food, and baked goods soared, leading to significant revenue growth for food factories like Uni-President Enterprises Corp., Wei Chuan Foods Corp., President Chain Store Corporation, Lian Hwa Food Corporation, and HeySong Corporation. In particular, Uni-President recorded a consolidated revenue of 54.793 billion NT dollars in May and a total of 265.889 billion NT dollars from January to May, marking a new high for both monthly and cumulative revenues. This boost was mainly attributed to the growth in food business revenue and the outstanding performance of investment in Uni-President Super Market and Uni-President China Holdings. Uni-President has also introduced a new bakery brand, Bellopane, priced between 45 and 50 NT dollars, to seize the over 60 billion NT dollars bakery market in Taiwan and enhance its performance. With the hot weather driving the performance of the ice drinks and dairy drinks sector, Uni-President actively launched new packaging for its tea drinks to attract new customers. Similarly, HeySong's beverage sales in May achieved good results, with a monthly revenue of 810 million NT dollars, a year-on-year increase of 4.45%, and a total revenue of 4.117 billion NT dollars in the first five months, up by 2.57% annually. With the traditional peak season for liquid food sales like oat milk in summer, both President and Wei Chuan saw synchronous growth in cross-strait sales. Wei Chuan also made a significant contribution with its OEM Nestle tea drinks, boosting its May revenue by 445 million NT dollars, up by 12.13% annually; President, relying on strong cross-strait sales, achieved a May revenue of 2.314 billion NT dollars, an 8.3% increase year-on-year.
