According to CTi News on June 10, 2024, the last day of the Dragon Boat Festival holiday might see heavy traffic as many head back north, with the National Expressway Authority estimating traffic starting from 2 p.m., expecting congestion in 11 areas with Route 5 likely to ease around 10 p.m. Today's congestion-prone areas include northbound sections of Route 1 to various locations like West Luodai to Puyan System, Nantun to Houri, Miaoli to Hukou, among others. Numerous accidents have been reported causing congestion, emphasizing the need for caution while on the road.
