Power Outage Affects 3,279 Households in Taipei's Neihu District

On the evening of July 17, 2024, a sudden power outage caused by a feed line disconnection affected 3,279 households in Taipei's Neihu District. The outage occurred around 9:41 PM and was completely resolved by 10:14 PM. Areas impacted included Dahu Mountain Villa Street, Section 2 of Neihu Road, and Section 4 of Chenggong Road. Taiwan Power Company identified the cause as a fault in the underground cable and managed to restore power shortly after. Additionally, five individuals were trapped in elevators during the outage but were safely rescued and did not require medical attention.
