Premier Su Tseng-chang pointed out in the Legislative Yuan today that disrespecting Parliament, providing misleading answers, and withholding genuine documents can all be seen as 'disdain' towards Parliament, and he also believes that disrespecting Parliament should not be allowed. However, the determination of disrespect towards Parliament 'cannot be subjectively determined.' During questioning by People First Party legislator Chen Chao-jih, examples were raised of various Green Party legislators, including ministers and officials, who in the past vehemently advocated for investigative and hearing rights in Parliament while in opposition. This action was used to highlight the current hindrance of parliamentary reform by the Democratic Progressive Party in power, leading to contrasting views on the matter.
