The Tamsui River Bridge, scheduled to be completed by the end of next year, is expected to alleviate the traffic congestion in the Tamsui area. Today, Premier Su Tseng-chang and New Taipei City Mayor Hou Yu-ih visited the construction site to check on the progress. Mayor Hou also took the opportunity to push for the construction of surrounding roads from the central government and strive to achieve outstanding accomplishments before the end of his term. The completion of the bridge is crucial in solving the traffic issues in the Tamsui area, with the main bridge section currently under construction and expected to be finished by the end of 2025. Cooperation between the central and local governments was emphasized, as seen in the efforts made by various officials to inspect the project and secure support for related infrastructures.
