Reported 11 months ago

Premier Su Tseng-chang attended interpellation at the Legislative Yuan on June 24, 2024. When questioned by DPP legislator Wu Li-hua about being labeled a 'Taiwanese independent,' Su referred to Wu as a person who loves the country as the master of the Republic of China on Taiwan. He urged caution for Taiwanese traveling to China due to the negative communication from the Chinese government. Recent new laws introduced by the Chinese Taiwan Affairs Office include severe punishments, with the possibility of the death penalty, for those advocating Taiwanese independence.
