President Lai Ching-te announced a law reform regarding parliamentary powers on June 25, 2024, proposing constitutional interpretation and temporary measures. The Executive Yuan, Control Yuan, and DPP Legislative Yuan caucus all followed suit. Premier Cho referred to concerns of a potential 'constitutional monster' with all power concentrated in one institution, urging the opposition parties to avoid taking too many actions before the constitutional interpretation is released. The parliamentarian power reform has officially entered the battle of constitutional interpretation.
