Premier Promises Efforts to Enforce Law Limiting Landlords' Electricity Charges

During a legislative session on June 18, 2024, Kuomintang lawmaker Liao Wei-xiang questioned Premier Su Tseng-chang about the amendment prohibiting landlords from charging electricity fees exceeding the total electricity cost. Premier Su expressed commitment to push for the implementation of the amendment in July and assured cooperation. The amendment aims to address concerns of tenants facing potential electricity fee hikes following the increase in electricity prices by Taiwan Power Company.
