Taiwan's Premier Su Tseng-chang stated that the focus for September is on maintaining stable electricity prices following adjustments earlier in the year. Emphasizing the importance of price stability and ensuring public electricity needs are met, Su also reiterated the government's commitment to the 'Nuclear-free Homeland' policy and addressing concerns from industries about water and electricity shortages. The Minister of Economic Affairs, Wang Mei-hua, welcomed foreign firms, like Nvidia and AMD, setting up data centers in Taiwan, assuring a review of energy supply and the use of renewable energy if demand exceeds expectations. Discussions about the potential extension of operations for nuclear power plants 2 and 3 were also briefly touched upon.
