According to a retirement survey by a bank, over half of the respondents believe that 30,000 yuan per month is sufficient for retirement living expenses, but experts caution that this amount may not sustain an ideal quality of life due to overlooking factors like inflation. Planning for retirement should consider individual lifestyle expectations and evaluate the necessary retirement funds. With considerations for inflation, experts warn that the current 30,000 yuan in monthly expenses may depreciate in purchasing power over time. To maintain a decent living standard in retirement, households may need at least 60,000 yuan per month. Furthermore, aside from daily expenses, retirement planning should also account for medical and long-term care costs, with an average of 76,377 yuan per year for medical expenses for those aged 65 and above in Taiwan.
