Biodiversity has long provided essential resources for human survival, including food, medicine, construction materials, clothing, chemical ingredients, and various other materials. However, this reliance also stems from ecosystems. According to Tsai Ming-che, director of the Experimental Forest Management Office at NTU College of Agriculture, over half of the world's GDP highly or moderately relies on biodiversity, making it essential to create or preserve ecosystems for our future. Programs like the 'Flower Tree Bank' in Taiwan aim to preserve biodiversity by encouraging citizens to bring excess plants for storage, emphasizing the importance of time and effort in cultivation and ecological preservation.
