President Tsai Ing-wen, on the one-month anniversary of her inauguration, announced the formation of three task-oriented committees - the National Climate Change Action Committee, the National Defense Resilience Committee, and the Healthy Taiwan Promotion Committee. Tsai will personally convene quarterly meetings to develop national development strategies. The move aims to address issues like the controversy surrounding natural gas stations and the extension of nuclear power plants by fostering communication and research within these newly established committees.
