President Tsai Ing-wen has approved the reconsideration of the Parliament Powers Exercise Act and amendments to the Republic of China Criminal Code submitted by the Executive Yuan, following doubts regarding the process and constitutionality of the so-called legislative reform. The Executive Yuan presented seven reasons for reconsideration last week, stating that the provisions were impractical and presented a reconsideration bill. President Tsai Ing-wen's approval is aimed at prompting further examination of the bill's content by all parties in the Legislative Yuan to prioritize legal and constitutional aspects for the benefit of the nation.
