President Tsai Ing-wen approves Parliament Reform Review Case, hopes for constitutional consensus between parties

According to CTi News Network on June 11, 2024, President Tsai Ing-wen has approved the review case regarding amendments to the Legislative Yuan Powers Exercise Act, the ROC Criminal Code, and more submitted by the Executive Yuan on the 6th, aiming to enhance parliamentary reform. The Presidential Office spokesperson, Kuo Ya-hui, expressed that President Tsai has approved the review case, emphasizing the importance of parties in the Legislative Yuan carefully evaluating the legal content in search of a consensus that prioritizes national interests and legality. The documents will be sent to the Executive Yuan and notification will be made to the Legislative Yuan. Kuo stated that President Tsai approves the Parliament Reform Review Case in accordance with the Constitution, hoping for cross-party cooperation to find a consensus in the country's best interest.
