President Tsai emphasized the importance of upholding the separation of powers, checks and balances, and protection of human rights within the constitutional framework, while opposing the unilateral expansion of parliamentary powers as a proper way to reform the parliament in a legal and constitutional manner to deepen Taiwan's democracy.
