Presidential Office Thanks US Government for 15th Arms Sales to Taiwan, Safeguarding Regional Peace Together

The US government has agreed to sell $60.2 million and $300 million worth of drones to Taiwan to enhance its self-defense capabilities, marking the 15th arms sale to Taiwan since the Biden administration took office. The Presidential Office spokesperson, Kuo Yeh-hui, expressed gratitude for the US government's continuous strengthening of the Taiwan-US partnership in accordance with the Taiwan Relations Act and the Six Assurances, jointly safeguarding regional peace and stability. This arms sale includes the procurement of Switchblade 300 lethal drones and Altius 600M anti-armor drones to meet Taiwan's defense and combat training needs, reinforcing Taiwan's self-defense and deterrence capabilities and upholding its democratic values, international rules-based order, and contributing to global peace and prosperity.
