Preventing Dengue Fever in Tainan: Citizens Reporting Symptoms Can Receive a Reward of 1000 NT Dollars

Reported 8 months ago

In order to enhance the willingness of citizens and foreign workers in Tainan to voluntarily report symptoms and effectively prevent potential cases of dengue fever, the Tainan City Government held a press conference titled 'Do not underestimate dengue fever symptoms: voluntarily report for health' on June 18. Mayor Huang Wei-Che encouraged intermediaries and employers to conduct NS1 rapid tests at health centers if their employees showed suspected symptoms, aiming to eliminate the spread of the dengue virus. The government provides a reward of 1000 NT dollars per confirmed case for citizens or foreign workers who report during the viremic blood phase, with additional rewards for employers/agencies and medical institutions. It is crucial to take proactive measures, especially during the rainy season, to prevent the spread of dengue fever.
