As the summer vacation approaches, while it may be a fulfilling and relaxing time for most schoolchildren, those from vulnerable families face various challenges and concerns. The Children's Welfare Alliance Foundation found that disadvantaged students often lack extracurricular learning resources and parental care during holidays, leading to a phenomenon known as 'Summer Learning Loss.' Many children in rural areas spend their holidays at home watching TV or using their phones due to a lack of recreational and learning resources. To address this issue, the alliance has been supporting schools in organizing recreational camps to provide opportunities for learning and entertainment during the break, aiming to prevent vulnerable children from facing educational setbacks.
