The escalating trade dispute between China and Europe is causing concerns in the European industry. A report from the German Chamber of Commerce in China (AHK) revealed that price drops and weak demand are the two major challenges facing German companies in China. The survey showed that 61% of the 186 German member companies identified price pressure as their biggest issue, with 75% reporting overcapacity leading to business impacts. The German Vice Chancellor and Minister of Economy will be visiting South Korea and China to discuss tariff issues, with optimism that a direct negotiation with China could lead to a solution before the tariffs take effect.
