Guatemala's police discovered a prison resembling a vacation resort with inmates having air conditioning, refrigerators, and even pets like eagles, raccoons, foxes, and crocodiles. After being found, the president of Guatemala ordered an investigation as the prison, called 'Little Hell,' had 200 inmates to be relocated due to renovations and was revealed to be a far cry from a typical prison with a 'command center,' illegal phones, and internet allowing inmates to control outside gang activities. The incident involving the Barrio 18 gang members sparked public outrage and led to increased security measures to prevent such incidents from reoccurring.
