Professional skier Jean Daniel Pession, 28, and his girlfriend Elisa Arlian, 26, were tragically found dead after falling off Mount Zerbion in northern Italy. The couple, tied together, were discovered by cell phone signals near the summit after hours of searching. The Italian Winter Sports Federation expressed condolences, noting the pair's passion for the mountains. Pession ranked 15th in the 2021 Speed Skiing World Cup and 22nd in 2022.
