A former food researcher named Xiao Ling participated in the Labor Department's Kaohsiung-Pingtung-Penghu-Taitung Regional Branch (KPPTR) professional training program 'Mobile Commerce System Design and Development Class,' and successfully transitioned to become an information engineer by persistently learning and working hard. Xiao Ling, who studied food science at a private university and worked as a food researcher in northern Taiwan, realized the need to prepare for career changes brought about by the pandemic and decided to explore opportunities in the information industry. With positive feedback about the training program, Xiao Ling enrolled and acquired valuable knowledge and teamwork skills during the six-month training period at KPPTR. After completing the program, Xiao Ling applied the programming and database knowledge learned to secure a job as an information engineer. The KPPTR Director emphasized the wide employment opportunities in information-related industries and encouraged job seekers or career changers to sign up for the self-organized pre-employment training programs available, with various courses such as welding, computer-aided design and manufacturing, multimedia marketing, mobile commerce system development, and more. The registration for the 113th fiscal year's 5th wave of training programs is open until August 9, welcoming individuals over 15 years old who wish to learn a skill and receive employment guidance post-training.
