Professor Lin Qingxiang was sentenced to 5 months for sexual harassment by a Changhua District Court judge on June 12, 2024, after groping a female graduate student. The student, referred to as A, was made to lie on a therapy bed by Professor Wang of a university under the guise of a 'demonstration,' where he touched her inappropriately. Despite testimonies from 9 witnesses, including professors and students, against Wang, he continued to deny the charges. The judge ruled in favor of the victim due to Wang's influential position and lack of remorse, sentencing him to prison. A suffered psychological trauma from the incident and withdrew from her studies after bravely coming forward following consultations with peers and teachers.
