The Chairman of the Public Works Commission, Chen Jinde, inspected the Third LNG Terminal project with an overall schedule progress of 55.33%, already at 58.32% by the end of May, slightly ahead by 2.99%. Chen aims to achieve the goal of conducting trial operations in March next year and supplying gas in June. The project is crucial for energy transition in Taiwan, with a total budget of NT$965.62 billion, aiming to enhance gas supply stability and capacity in the northern regions. Despite minor setbacks due to construction noise complaints, efforts are being made to meet the target guided by the Prime Minister to complete the project on time and with quality.
