For the first time, 15 middle schools in Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan, have included Chiayi County pineapples in their school lunches. County Magistrate Weng Chang-liang visited Kokufu Middle School to participate in the promotion of Chiayi County pineapples by introducing their qualities to the students. This initiative aims to enhance Taiwan-Japan friendship and international exchange through the promotion of Taiwanese agricultural products in Japan, facilitated by cooperation between various companies and organizations. The Chiayi County pineapples have been well-received by Japanese consumers for their sweetness and quality, with exports of the newly promoted honey pears increasing significantly.
