After coming out of the shadow of pandemic insurance policies, property insurance companies in Taiwan significantly increased their capital investment in the first quarter, with 14 domestic property insurance companies still allocating more funds to fixed income than stocks. They mainly increased investments in high-yield corporate bonds or high-yield stocks. The industry expects record-breaking investment returns to boost profits in the first half of the year. With most property insurance companies notably increasing their domestic investment positions, the industry saw a total capital investment increase of over NT$8.4 billion in the first quarter.
