DPP legislator Shen Boyang proposed amending the Cross-Strait Relations Act requiring legislators to report before visiting China but faced opposition. Shen pointed out that KMT legislator Chen Xuesheng's amendment to the Outlying Islands Development Act includes 'introducing Chinese-funded enterprises', criticizing KMT for opening four doors for China to enter, surpassing the Free Economic Pilot Zones plan. The amendments weaken sovereignty and bypass security provisions, allowing Chinese companies direct involvement in Taiwan's procurement and operations.
