In order to safeguard the safety of students studying abroad, the Ministry of Education in Taiwan has compiled and updated a presentation titled 'Common Overseas Scam Techniques and Prevention', aiming to raise students' awareness of scam methods and prevent them from falling victim. The presentation covers various scam scenarios such as phone scams, ATM scams, email scams, text message scams, rental scams, and online friend scams, providing prevention and handling methods. Students are advised to follow the three steps 'Listen, Hang up, Check' when dealing with phone scams, and encouraged to seek advice from senior students and participate in overseas Taiwanese student associations and activities to learn from their experiences. The Ministry also urges students to be cautious of unfamiliar calls, emails, and messages, refrain from sending money or sharing personal information, and stay vigilant to protect themselves and their peers.
