Abhishek Karnik, McAfee's Head of Threat Research, advises travelers to be wary of too good to be true offers, verify the legitimacy of online listings, and avoid upfront payments, especially in cryptocurrency or gift cards. As the summer travel season begins, Karnik emphasizes the importance of using trusted websites and applications, along with VPNs, to protect against scammers targeting tourists with travel scams.
