Activists from the 'No Azure for Apartheid' group occupied Microsoft President Brad Smith's office in Redmond, leading to a temporary lockdown of the headquarters. The protestors, who livestreamed their sit-in, accused Smith of supporting genocide related to Microsoft's cloud contracts with Israel. After refusing to leave, the seven demonstrators were removed and arrested by the police. Smith criticized the protest as unnecessary, stating that it detracted from genuine dialogues the company is having with diverse employee groups.
