A recent survey conducted by the Taiwan Public Opinion Foundation revealed that 42.4% of the population supports the 'Non-Nuclear Homeland' policy, while 45.8% do not. The foundation's chairman, You Ying-long, noted a lack of consensus in Taiwanese society on the policy and highlighted that the current government's stance is based on limited support. The survey sampled 1070 adults over the age of 20 and indicated a divided public opinion on the policy, showing that the DPP government's initiative has not gained widespread societal acceptance despite being a core party value.
