Legislative Yuan's Kuomintang and People First Party factions recently jointly passed the 'Parliament Empowerment Act,' leading to public protests against it and sparking spontaneous recall actions against certain blue politicians, with some Democratic Progressive Party legislators also at risk. Lawyer Lin Chih-chun expressed his disapproval of frequent recalls but mentioned that 'not handling Xie Guo-liang is unacceptable.' Recall actions against Keelung Mayor Xie Guo-liang continue. Lin criticized Xie's controversial actions during his first year in office and emphasized the necessity of addressing them promptly.
