A 40-year-old woman from Thailand became blind in her left eye and had to remove her eyeball after getting an eyelash extension at a beauty salon, where it is suspected that glue used in the process dripped into her eye causing an infection. The woman, BaiFern, experienced pain during the procedure but was assured by the store staff that it was normal. Eventually, her eye became severely infected, leading to the loss of vision and the need to undergo eye removal surgery. BaiFern filed a lawsuit against the salon, claiming the incident severely impacted her ability to work as a public relations professional and incurred significant medical and transportation expenses.
