After a month since President Lai Ching-te and Premier Cho Jung-tai took office, a new poll by the Chinese Asia-Pacific Elite Exchange Association revealed that Lai's satisfaction rating is 53% and Cho's is 44%. However, the chaotic situation in the legislature, particularly due to the passing of the 'Legislative Powers Act' has left no clear winners among the major parties. Scholar Shen Youzhong stated that this situation may put the new cabinet at risk of inaction, urging both ruling and opposition parties to slowly build consensus on major political reforms.
