Russian President Putin ended his visit to North Korea on Wednesday night and arrived in Hanoi, Vietnam early Thursday morning, where he was welcomed by Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Chinh. Despite the early hour, Putin appeared energetic and exchanged greetings with Chinh and Vietnam's Foreign Minister Huong. This marks Putin's fifth visit to Vietnam since 2017, and prior to the trip, he praised Vietnam's neutral 'bamboo diplomacy' approach in major power relations, striving for a balanced stance during the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Putin recently signed a strategic partnership agreement with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, raising speculation about potential military cooperation between the two countries.
