The 2024 Skytrax World Airline Awards, known as the 'Oscars of the Aviation Industry,' were announced on June 24 by the British Skytrax survey organization, with Qatar Airways clinching the top position for the 8th time. EVA Air from Taiwan secured the 8th spot globally, advancing by one position from last year. Meanwhile, Starlux Airlines moved up to 35th place, and China Airlines slipped to 44th. The rankings are based on passenger satisfaction surveys from over 350 airlines across more than 100 countries. Various Asian airlines dominated different categories, with Singapore Airlines awarded Best First Class, Qatar Airways for Best Business Class, and Japan Airlines and Cathay Pacific for Best Premium Economy and Economy Class respectively.
