In an exclusive interview with EatingWell, chef Rachael Ray revealed that she never uses store-bought mayonnaise in her recipes, preferring aioli or homemade mayo instead. Ray shared her dislike for store-bought mayo due to preservatives and prefers the fresh taste of homemade mayo, which can be easily made using simple ingredients like oil, eggs, vinegar, and lemon juice. Although homemade mayo has a shorter shelf life, it can be a budget-friendly and delicious option for various dishes like deli salads, sandwiches, and more.
