According to the Central Weather Bureau, due to the vigorous development of convective cloud systems, short-duration heavy rain is likely to occur in several areas of Taiwan. Hualien County's mountainous regions may experience localized heavy or torrential rain today, while other regions, including northern Chiayi, Nantou, the eastern part of Taiwan, and the mountainous areas of Kaohsiung, have a probability of localized heavy rain. Residents are advised to be cautious of thunderstorms, strong gusts, landslides, rockfalls, flash floods, and water accumulation in low-lying areas. Heavy rain warnings are in effect for Keelung City, Taipei City, New Taipei City, Taoyuan City, Hsinchu County, Miaoli County, Taichung City, Changhua County, Nantou County, Yunlin County, Chiayi County, Kaohsiung City, Yilan County, and Taitung County, while torrential rain warning is in effect for Hualien County.
