In Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, a farm owner discovered a rare 'red-eyed gold snake,' resembling a mythical creature, on his farm in Hachimachi, Yame City. The 85-year-old owner found the snake that is normally a black snake species, but due to genetic mutation, it lacked melanin, causing a lack of camouflage in nature making it vulnerable to predators. The snake was transferred to Fukuoka City Zoo and then to Kitakyushu Firefly Museum, with experts deeming its survival in the wild a miracle due to its unique features.
