Fiona Harvey, claiming to be the real-life woman behind the alleged stalker in Netflix's Baby Reindeer series, has sued the streaming platform for defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and other violations totaling $170 million. Harvey accuses Netflix of portraying her inaccurately, leading to physical and emotional symptoms. The show's creator, Richard Gadd, has not commented on whether Harvey inspired the character, and Netflix intends to vigorously defend the lawsuit.
