In New Taipei City's Sanchong district, a group of bikers were causing disturbances with their loud exhaust noises, prompting civilians to report them to the police. Upon spotting the authorities, some bikers attempted to flee but ended up colliding with each other, hitting a police car, and causing chaos that involved an innocent pedestrian. Among the bikers, a 20-year-old named Lin tried to evade the police twice, resulting in accidents and injuries. The police are issuing fines ranging from over 6,000 to 36,000 New Taiwan Dollars for the reckless driving behaviors and violations observed during the incident, which took place near Xianshe Temple in the early hours of the morning.
