While serving as the chairman of Taiwan Land Development Corporation, Chiu Fusheng instructed subordinates to falsify the accounting as real estate transactions to conceal borrowing over 200 million yuan from the public, suspected of violating the Securities and Exchange Act and other financial offenses. The Taipei District Prosecutors Office directed the Investigation Bureau to conduct searches at six locations today and summoned Chiu Fusheng and six other individuals involved to clarify the situation. Chiu Fusheng, who in the past founded Era Group and chaired TVBS, received a lifetime achievement award this year at the Udine Far East Film Festival. The investigation revealed financial irregularities during Chiu's chairmanship in 2020, prompting a comprehensive probe into securities fraud and financial misrepresentation.
