The PLG championship series kicked off at Taoyuan Arena on June 9, 2024, attracting a record-breaking crowd of 6,470 spectators with large queues forming around the stadium two hours before the game, showcasing the series' immense popularity. New Taipei Monarchs' owner Wang Wen-xiang generously sponsored 300 tickets for each of the first two games and organized the 'Royal Support Team' for fans wearing yellow Monarchs T-shirts to cheer in Taoyuan. The first game drew a large number of fans, even breaking the attendance record for the hosting team, the Taoyuan Voyageurs. Wang Wen-xiang's support continued with 8 coaches departing from New Taipei Sports Center to Taoyuan Arena for the away fans, with only a few tickets left for the upcoming second game, showing high demand.
