Today, temperatures across Taiwan range from 32 to 35 degrees Celsius, with the possibility of reaching 36 to 37 degrees in certain areas. The Central Weather Bureau predicts continued hot weather, with Orange Alerts issued for 9 cities due to the likelihood of temperatures exceeding 36 degrees. Meteorologist Lin De-en suggests that Greater Taipei might break the historical high temperature record of 39.7 degrees, with factors such as strong Pacific high pressure, warm air currents, unique terrain, and urban heat island effect contributing to the heat.
