The Food and Drug Administration stated that red-shell eggs are not more nutritious compared to white eggs. Despite red-shell eggs being sold at a higher price than regular white eggs, many people believe they are more nutritious. However, the Ministry of Health and Welfare's Food and Drug Administration pointed out that the shell color of eggs does not directly correlate with their nutritional value. Regardless of the egg color, there are four types of people who should not overeat eggs, as the nutritional composition does not differ between red and white-shelled eggs. The nutritional value of eggs depends on the hen's feed and health condition, containing various nutrients like protein, phospholipids, vitamins, and minerals, easily digestible and absorbable. It is emphasized to be cautious with egg intake for individuals with high blood cholesterol, a history of arterial blockages, obesity, or fatty liver. Overconsumption of any healthy food can lead to nutritional imbalances, highlighting the importance of eggshell cleanliness and integrity when purchasing eggs.
